Wow what a week! As some of you may
know Hurricane Matthew has been making a mess around the coast so we got to
have some great adventures from that! Wednesday we got a call that 2 zones from
the mission are being evacuated so be prepared to have at least one other set
of missionaries come to stay with you. So we all went to district meeting and
had a good time and we didn’t get a call so we thought we where free of
houseguests! Thursday morning we got up and got a call from Sister Grayson
asking if we could take in a set of Sisters from Pooler, so they are coming
from the Savannah area. Ten minutes later we had Sister Violet and Sister
Tanner at our door! We got them settled in and went to work! That night we did
service at a methods soup kitchen. It was really awesome to serve with people
of other faiths and serve the community.
Friday was a great day!
We got a text from Rose that she has really been thinking about it and she
wants to set a date to get baptized! That night we went over for our lesson that
we usually have on Friday and had a great lesson! At the end she told us that
she doesn’t want to wait any more so this weekend October 15th Rose is going to
get baptized!!!! We are so excited for her she is so ready!!! Now we are just
trying to get ready for Saturday!
Saturday we helped a
older couple move in from Florida. They are not members but we got a call from
the Elders in Florida that they taught them the lessons and that they are very
interested. We will be working with them in the up coming weeks!
Sunday was good the ward
was packed with people from the coast that are trying to stay out of the way of
the storm. So it was a great testimony meeting!
Monday was so fun we had
two zones up here due to the hurricane and the Georgia national fair was going
on in Perry. So we all went down
to that! It was a good break and the fair grounds are amazing! We got to play
around there for a while before we had to head back. Today our friends headed back to Pooler so we are hoping and praying that all goes well for them. Please pray for those that where affected by the storm there is a lot of damage! Thank y'all for all your love and support!
