I received this text this morning from my dear friend Vicky!

I make GOOD FRIED chicken!

So I make GOOD FRIED chicken!  And also we got food from J's Wangs and Thangs this week! LOVE southern food!

Amazing Week

Hey y'all.  This week was amazing! So on monday night we where in charge of the empty nesters so we went and sang with them.  It was really awesome to sing old baptist songs! Haha But we did sing "I am a child of God" with jesse and that was so cute! Tuesday was so funny so we have this investigator and she came out side her apartment and was like "I got to tell y'all something bad.  I got to confess and we where like oh great she had an abortion but then she was like so I accidentally flushed my keys down the toilet and she was so upset about it and freaking out that someone was going to find her keys and come in her house hahaha! Wednesday was awesome! I got to go over to Auburn Alabama on splits so I went to the institute and the college and all that fun stuff!  It was really awesome! Thursday we had zone training meeting in the morning so that was fun! But the best part was Tamisha! So we met her a couple weeks ago and she wasnt interested but we saw her at one of our other investigators house and she was like "I will just sit in on the lesson. So we taught the restoration and she asked a lot of questions and she started crying when we talked about the Priesthood.  I said "how do you feel and she started dancing and saying I finally found it! She was so excited about the message she was dancing! So we challenged her to be baptized on October 17th  with her kids and she accepted! She is so amazing!! We are working with her every day! Saturday was fun too!  We went to the ranch and worked and all the Elders came with us and helped.  We had a blast! Well love y'all.  Hope to hear from you soon!

Fireside, Teaching

Wow this week has been crazy! So many meetings and so little time! Yesterday we had a fireside called music in the spoken word that we organized and put on. It was a really amazing thing where a bunch of people got together and sang songs and played guitar but there was also spiritual thoughts in between the music.  Let me tell you we where running around like crazy trying to get it all together! But it was a good night and after that we had dinner with the Reeves and the elders tagged along and gave one of our investigators a blessing and dedicated his house. When we where at dinner there is a girl named Shelby who we teach across the way and last week we ordered white girl weaves off line and they came in so she helped me put my weave in while everyone ate. She had her friend with her and she started to ask me questions about the church and stuff and I ended up being able to give her the whole restoration lesson and she wants us to come over some time and teach her more. It was so cute when shelby gave the closing prayer she said,  "please bless that my friend will become mormon someday like I want to. (Shelby wants to be baptized and be a missionary but can't until she is 18).  So I hope we continue to teach her and she will progress! I know that this work is the Lords work and he loves all his children regardless of their circumstances! I hope to hear from y'all soon!  Love you!

Safari Park, Service, The Spirit

Hey y'all!

Wow this week has been crazy!  Lots of meetings and fun! We are just doing our best to stay afloat!  Hahah but the work is good here.  We kinda hit a road block but we are doing our best to keep our heads up! We got to go to the safari park this week and that was really fun! Also we do service at this amazing ranch with a bunch of horses and a lake and it is just amazing!  I want that life someday! But any ways I love the members here and the spirit they have! I am so grateful for the companionship of the spirit! I have come to know this week that the war between good and evil is very very strong in people's lives and we have to stay close to the teachings of the Gospel! I love y'all and hope to hear from you!

Tender Mercy

Another tender mercy~ Brother Rob Penrod from our ward called us the other day and said he was going to Georgia for business and he wanted to take Sister Randall a package and see her! I was so jealous because I wanted to fit in his suitcase! But I also was so excited for him to see her.  So I got together a few items to send in a package.  We bought her a bulldogs shirt, candy, gift cards & most important her favorite stuffed animal that she has had for 19 years! BUSTER!  Well, as you can tell from the pictures she was super excited to see Buster!  I am certain that this made her week!  It was so very awesome of Brother Penrod who drove an extra 1 1/2 hours to get to her!  What a wonderful day! Thanks Brother Penrod!  We love you Sister Randall!

Labor Day Fun in Georgia

Labor Day Fun in Georgia! Jennifer & Amanda Reeves took Sister Walker & Sister Randall to the Safari Zoo!  Here are a few pictures that they sent!

Vicki!

So on Thursday, Shane & I were out running some afternoon errands when my phone rang!  The caller ID said Columbus Georgia!  I thought to myself, I am not answering this.  Dang solicitors!  Then it hit me!  GEORGIA!  I quickly answered and a sweet lady on the other end said to me "Can I just tell you how much I love Sister Randall!"  I immediately teared up and had to hold back the sobbing.  She told me her name was Vicki and that she had spent 4 hours with my daughter that day!  She is a convert to the church and helps to transfer missionaries on transfer days.  Shelby has not been  transferred yet!  Since this first phone call, Vicki and I are now texting buddies!  She sends me lots of pictures of her family and it is so fun to have a connection with Georgia!  I wanted to post these pictures on her so that Sister Randall can see them when she gets home!  I sure do miss Shelby a lot and sometimes I just break out in a cry but I know she is right where she needs to be.  I love my Georgia Missionary!

This is Vicki's sweet family!  Her husband is not a member but the Sisters are working on him.  They have a sweet daughter that is 33 and still attends primary!  And then her dad who is in the Veterans Hospital.  It has been fun getting to know her family a little more.
